The Chapel Decorated With Human Bones

The town of Kutná Hora owes its origin to the silver mines which gained importance during the economic boom of the 13th century. At that time a lot of people traveled to this city to find their wealth. However a plague struck and killed so many of them that in the local cemetery no more bodies could be buried. Therefore a chapel was built to deposit the bones. Nowadays this ossuary in Sedlec contains approximately 40,000-70,000 human skeletons which have been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel.

The 11th Husband

A young man married a beautiful woman who had previously divorced 10 husbands. On their wedding night, she told her new husband to ‘Please be gentle; I’m still a virgin.’
What? said the puzzled groom. How can that be if you’ve been married ten times?

Well, husband #1 was a Sales Representative; he kept telling me how great it was going to be.

Husband #2 was in Software Services; he was never really sure how it was supposed to function; but he said he’d look into it and get back with me.
