Actually ate dog, cat, rat, snake, horse, eel, maggot, grasshoppers, ants, crickets and much more in the sixties. Most were really good. Close your eyes and eat. Savour the flavour.
Maggot was the only thing I would not eat again.

I must say, that I would rather not eat rats.
That's a given.
However, that doesn't look too bad.
I'm sure it would be fine if I had to make due,
but how on EARTH could anyone mistake this for chicken??? It doesn't look like chicken.
If you disagree, you've been eating rats.

Not bad, do you raise them or do you just go out and kill them in the sewer
Also thy them in s stew, brown your onions first then season the rats and put them in the pot, cook on high to brown the meat and add just enough water to keep you onions from burning, dam that's good,
Raise them like rabbets and they will taste very good.

Well it is OK t eat this but beware it must be well prepared! I mean more than chicken and cow rats are known to be hosts to various killer diseases including plague. This is mainly because of their sewer expeditions. Hence such meat must be well-cooked at high temperatures (to kill all microbes) and than eaten.

mohd ariff,

Yes, rodents in nature eat whatever they can get. And, rodents spread the plague around Europe.

However, in a environment like where people are raising the rodents, the diets can be controller.

Although, personally I plan on sticking to the "normal" American consumed animals.
