At times, the Ribbon will seem awfully large to you and when you are reading a document or developing a design in PowerPoint it would be better if the Ribbon just isn’t there. Therefore it would be great to toggle the Ribbon on and off and here are the two methods to achieve this.
The first is to use the Ctrl + F1 key combination. The other one is to use the mouse and double click the current tab to toggle the Ribbon off. Another click on that tab and it will turn it back on temporarily. As soon as you finish using it, the Ribbon will automatically hide.
Double click any tab or press Ctrl + F1 to turn it back on permanently.
