To the “fake” poster…
ZZ, it’s obvious you are a virgin without a clue. Many women have wide enough hips to where (if they are physically fit) their upper thighs do not come together even when their feet are together (and even crossed). Given the right timing and angle, such a picture is easy get provided you have the patience to wait for the time when the sun is at the right angle to shine right through the “empty triangle”.
This can be easily proven observing a lovely young woman wearing tight jeans with wide enough hips and not just the nude ones.
A little biology lesson: Women have wide hips so childbirth is possible. Having leg sockets get in the way pretty much would make the process even more painful and difficult than it already is.

Supersparky, it’s obvious you’re a douche without a clue. We don’t need excessively long posts that insult other users. We don’t need lectures from people like you. Just enjoy the art. Regardless the timing, environment, etc, that light is not possible. The emphasis on the rays that extend horizontally is not possible with the downwards triangle shape.
Anyhow, regardless of “fake” or real, I absolutely loved it and would love to see more!

I love the retards who can’t figure out how to do this picture calling SuperSparky names.
It only takes a pinpoint of light and a certain kind of lens to produce the spiky effect.
And even these “geniuses” must have seen enough porn (since they haven’t seen real women) to know that many women have that little empty space between their legs even when they’re crossed.
To some people, “how it was done” is immediately appararent, but there are some too stupid to understand it even when you explain it s-l-o-w-l-y to them.
i think we are all well aware of the female anatomy and widening of the hips on females. but you are extremely stupid/ignorant if you think that ray of light in the center was even intended to look real, not only is the shape of the light impossible given that angle, the shade is slightly different and the coloring gradient clearly shows that this image was achieved with photoshop or some other editing tool. if you look the sun in the center is a stand alone sun with the color gradient made to look like a sun on its own. im sure if the author had something to say he would say it is not intended to look like an un altered shot. that being said. this pic is pretty cool. ^_^

fake, if you think of the line where her left leg (photo’s right) is crossing, and the placement of her right leg, if that picture was lit, there would be no alleged clearance caused by wide hips, it is a pretty picture, but if people are going to get so upset over it send it to mythbusters =]

There is absolutely nothing impossible about that picture. The glare in the lens flare would most likely be larger than the “opening” and the number and shape of the beams is entirely dependent on the position, number and shape of the elements in the lens.
By the way, the word we came up with to describe that area of the female anatomy (at the office Xmas party) was “the saddle”. No equestrian reference intended.

It’s a gorgeous picture! Getting that effect is certainly possible…getting that effect that PERFECTLY is not. With that girl’s body structure, the photographer probably got a smaller pinprick of light and enhanced it.
